The men and women of these small village on mt. Bjelašnica live the life of their ancestors and use only what they by themselves produce in their gardens and houses.
There is an old story that goes; when Slavic tribes inhabited these places they named the village of Lukomir connecting two Slavic words valley and peace. If you visit this beautiful gorstac village you will realize why the old bogumils named it "the valley of peace".
