If you want to behold the beauty of Bosnian mountains then you should visit the village of Lukomir. You will see there is still a place where people live their life by the rules of nature in the same way as our ancestors lived hundreds of years ago. The men and women of these small village on mt. Bjelašnica live the life of their ancestors and use only what they by themselves produce in their gardens and houses.
There is an old local story ; when Slavic tribes inhabited these places they named the village of Lukomir connecting two Slavic words valley and peace. If you visit this beautiful gorstac village you will realize why the old bogumils named it "the valley of peace".
